While filming for the Nobelity documentary in Kenya with the Green Belt Movement, an incredible organization founded by 2004 Nobel Peace laureate Wangari Maathai, Turk met the kids of St. Joseph's Mahiga Primary School. Dismayed to learn that these kids had to carry drinking water from a stream a mile away - and that the kids suffered from a wide variety of ill effects from this unpurified water, Turk committed to building a water system to bring purified running water to the school.
